BlueChip Communication Appoints Danielle Stitt To Newly-created Chief Executive Role

BlueChip Communication, specialist financial services strategic PR and marketing firm, today announced Danielle Stitt will take up the new role of Chief Executive,  effective 14 January 2019.

The role, in addition to Danielle’s responsibilities as marketing practice leader, strengthens the leadership team and supports the growth of the firm. The appointment paves the way for Managing Director and Founder Carden Calder to spend more time mentoring the BlueChip team, leading client engagements, such as the firm’s growing reputation risk advisory practice, and authoring a post-Financial Services Royal Commission book on reputation.

Commenting on the appointment, Carden Calder said, “Danielle and I will play to our respective strengths. Danielle’s leadership will ensure we keep lifting the quality of client work with the right people, platforms and services in place. She will drive implementation of BlueChip’s strategy  with her leadership team colleagues, and continue to improve the client and team experience through smart use of data, analytics and marketing technology.

“Since joining, Danielle has grown the marketing services practice in support of PR to become almost a third of the firm’s revenue. This appointment keeps PR at the core of client work while building on our leadership in strategies that combine content, PR, social, direct and paid. In a financial services it’s now mandatory to protect reputation and amplify clients’ messages beyond earned media. Danielle has been instrumental in helping clients do this.”

Danielle will continue to lead strategies and campaigns for BlueChip’s marketing clients including Unimutual, Eclipx Commercial and Milliman Australia.

Danielle has a 25-year track record in professional services, in senior roles with Booz Allen Hamilton, Macquarie Bank, ABN Amro, Wilson HTM and Hyperion Asset Management.  She helps clients with challenges such as the shift to digital, improving measurement and multi-channel marketing mix choices. Danielle holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Masters of Business in Banking and Finance.  

Danielle commented, “I was a long-term client of BlueChip before I joined as Director of Integrated Marketing four years ago, and have really enjoyed working across a range of clients. In this expanded role I’m delighted I can now pursue both my passions - marketing and business leadership.”
