ABC News: Corporate Australia increasingly pay a high price for sexism

ABC News reports law firms are seeing an increase in the number of alleged sexual harassment victims coming forward to take on their employer and/or manager. Meanwhile, experts warn the cost for companies failing to tackle sexism is increasing while the legal mechanisms corporations traditionally use to protect themselves are being increasingly ineffective. 

In an interview with ABC, BlueChip Communication's founder and MD, Carden Calder said some corporate executives still don't understand the gravity of the issue; "What we've seen recently is a series of sexual harassment and sexual assault allegations become public and also meeting a moment in time where a range of other things have set this up to reach a tipping point, which means the risk for a lot of organisations has just increased on this particular issue."

Some corporate leaders get it, and always have, while others don't - and arguably never will. The difference between the two in BlueChip's study of this is almost the equivalent of self awareness in a human."
