The Brief

A global funds management firm hired BlueChip to boost its profile and head off market confusion surrounding its new brand.

Our agreed mission was to re-establish clarity and trust, deepening market understanding of the new brand which had undergone the stresses and strains of a series of recent mergers and acquisitions.

The Response

Understanding the expanded business, its people and various asset management divisions was undertaken in order to maximise our agreed pro-active and reactive media efforts.

Our exploration uncovered a latent leadership opportunity in the area of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investing.

This in turn led to the creation of research papers and market update reports directly to media. New product launches and marketing campaigns were also given oxygen with consistent and clear messages that resonated with media and audiences.

 

The Results


  • BlueChip delivered strong cut-through positioning of the primary brand – and tying up any remaining loose ends of confusion over the firm’s previous brand.
  • Prominent positioning and consistent messaging enhanced market knowledge of key investment products, while local and offshore personnel added an informed voice to the growing media presence.
  • A total of 300 media articles was created in a 12 month period by BlueChip.
  • The previous year, prior to BlueChip’s appointment, had produced just 13 media mentions. Cut-through was achieved by clear and consistent messaging, together with responsiveness to media.
